We were on target, and then were delayed. Injuries, surgery, but for once, not mine. Just a lot of people around me. And it could have still been out, but I have this insistence on detail. If it's going out, it'd better be right. So we made sure we were meticulous in the middle of the chaos, and all the emails work. All the webpages, and there were many, that had changed their address slightly were found. The Table of Contents is up and you can see we have been very thorough. However, it didn't make it error-free since we publish what is provided to us. We do our best to make it right, but when changes come to us after press time, they are listed on the Updates page. Please check it from time to time.
We had started tracking the entries from the previous years to give you an idea of how much competition there was. Sometimes the information was forthcoming, sometimes not. The unexpected side benefit is we could see how this book has helped many smaller contests, run by volunteers with little budget, had huge increase in entires. In one case it jumped from 270 entries to 710. They were quite forthcoming with revisions for this edition because their listing in the CWCC was the ONLY thing they had done differently in the past year. I was so happy for them.
So, as always, keep letting us know if something has changed, if you hear of a new competition, or your group is starting one. The more places you can submit your work, the better we all become.
